Family Roadtrip

At the beginning of October we packed up the girls & drove to Virginia. We had been on a holiday there a few years back, & this time the kids were old enough to remember it. Our youngest got an ear infection a few days in which sucks, but we made the most of the time we had together. We planned our outings based on them, so going to art galleries was not top on the list. We went to a few Kid's Museums & I wish we had places like this in Ontario.

My first time at Trader Joe's, & I bought this just for the packaging...how whimsical is this.

I popped into a stationary store, because this sign was so fun I had to see more. I have a weakness for stationary, I could spend hours looking at cards (ask my husband).

I was able to see a local artist named Tom Tartaglino's work on display in a restaurant we enjoyed called South Street Brewery. These paintings "Bridge Traffic" & "Survivor" are complete opposites, yet they were the standouts in my opinion.

We stopped in Rochester on our way home & went to the Strong Museum of Play. Look it up, there was something each of us really enjoyed.  The arcade brought back some memories & made my husband happy. A photo of me taking a rest with my really large purse...if you 're a mom you know what I'm talking about.

We were stuck in traffic for a LONG TIME on our way home, at least I got to capture this view...breathtaking.
